Are all Mozzarellas created equal…?

Many people are not aware that the yellow, rubbery stuff they buy in most stores is NOT authentic Mozzarella cheese… We aim to change that, if only to allow more people to experience the creamy deliciousness of the real thing!

Essentially there are three types of Mozzarella cheese:

  1. The first is the stringy stuff mostly found on pizza. This cheese is made from cow’s milk and is pretty tasteless. It’s normally wrapped in plastic and has a yellow colour and a shelf life of around 6 months.
  2. The second type is also a cow’s milk Mozzarella, but this type is made differently and is called Fior di latte. It’s normally packaged as small balls of cheese in brine and often bleached white to make it look like the real thing – Buffalo Mozzarella.
  3. The third is of course the genuine Buffalo Mozzarella made from 100% Buffalo milk. When you taste it, you will know you are eating the real thing. Creamy and delicious, Mozzarella Di Bufala can is full of flavour and can be enjoyed on its own, rubbed in salty olive oil, on pizza or in gourmet salads.

Now that you know, find a way to experience it… You won’t be sorry!
